Wizards star, Gilbert Arena is in trouble with the law after having a dispute with team mate Jarvaris Crittenton. Two weeks ago they fell out over a card game and things got rather heated. So much so, in fact, that Arena got three guns from his locker and laid them out on a chair. He claims that this was meant as a joke and he hoped that it would ease the tension of the situation but, if you believe reports by the New York Post, it resulted in them actually pulling the guns on each other.

Arena, kept the guns in his locker so that they were safely stored away from his children’s reach at home but it seems that he may regret this move. The laws on hand guns in Washington DC are some of the strictest there are and so he is likely to face severe punishment for this, not only in the eyes of the law but also by the NBA. This could have a massive effect on his teams progress and may even give his team a case to void his contract with them. Gilbert Arena will be presenting his case on Monday to officials and is unlikely to be treated with any leniency.
